Encyclopaedia of medicinal plants

This database provides a structured compilation of the most important medicinal plants, which are used as active ingredients in herbal medicines (herbal remedies) in Germany. The monographs contain information about the plants, about the medicinally used parts (= drug in the pharmaceutical sense) and information about the ingredients as well as detailed information on the medicinal use of plants or drugs. Furthermore it deals with the dosage and preparation of tea infusions. The necessary warnings will also be given and advice on side effects and reactions. The current level of about 80 plants will gradually be expanded (last modified on 07/28/2011).
